We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Sr Quality Engineer highly skilled to join our organization in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain policies and practices related to manufacturing support of field failures at customer assembly plants and quality initiatives related to product applications.
  • Responsible for field containment and rework activities, such as product testing and customer assembly plant crisis management, which result from product issues already installed into applications.
  • Analyze, compile, review and regularly report customer quality metrics such as PPM/ 0km performance; develop presentations for quality reviews.
  • Compile and analyze field data to prioritize reduction of design, process, supplier and NTF (No trouble Found) field returns.
  • Drive closure to corrective actions as they pertain to reported field failures in order to improve quality performance levels.
  • Manage Customer requirements for PPAP resulting from non-conformance issues for design and process related changes increasing product reliability.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences and training on behalf of the manufacturing plants and effectively deploy the information throughout the organization. Assure the company is current with customer quality policies.
  • Support manufacturing quality onsite as needed.
  • Direct customer interface and effective communication.
  • Develop First Parts approval packages through internal guide lines and specific customer requirements.
  • Effective team work leadership and coordination to provide immediate responsiveness and attention to internal or external quality needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in similar position
  • Problem solving. 8D’s, 5s.
  • Metrology and Engineering blue print readings (GD&T) experience
  • Experience with transfers
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
