As our sales growth expectations continues to evolve so does the maturity required in the end-to-end sales process. As such, we have the need to recruit a proven Technical PMO to focus on the acceleration of new products introduction (NPIs) that secures timely and profitable execution. This person will support the product managers by driving deadlines and ensuring that projects are completed on time and in accordance with customer and business expectations. The position will be based in Itasca with minimum travel. This leader will engage across Robertshaw’s Americas Appliance business unit and make a significant influence on the company’s sales and profit attainment and customer satisfaction.  

Responsibilities

Technical PMO Roles and Responsibilities

As the Technical PMO, you will be responsible for driving the actions that will ensure New Products Introduction deadlines are met, financial targets (i.e., VCM, ROI, NREs collection, etc.) are met, and customer satisfaction is achieved by delivering samples, prototypes, documents, reports, etc.

You will serve a catalyzer between four key areas: Product Managers, Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations and will help to deploy the Americas Appliance business unit’s strategy by executing timelines and RAILs (Rolling Action Item List) and maintaining a continuously improving ‘playbook’ of common processes, learning and connecting the areas to optimize the value creation process to the customers.

  • Create and manage project schedules (Gantt Charts) for new NPIs, flag and escalate issues of schedule, cost, price, NRE, tooling.
  • Participate in NPI project meetings – monitor schedule, force schedule requirements, monitor participation from supply chain/NPI buyer or other weak link dept, escalate scope and cost changes
  • Participate in EOL meetings, collect historic sales data and forecast data for last time buy quantitative analysis.  
  • Support plant in negative PPV mitigation, including recommendations for price increases, higher MOQs and rationalization investigations.
  • Create accounting job forms for incoming project POs
  • Assist in business cases, competitive analysis
  • Support Capex requirements and information for approval processes. Monitor Capex follow through at plant level and escalate delays.
  • Support business reporting and customer presentations (PPTs), including working with product managers, engineering and operations for refined presentation decks.

Provide process improvement suggestions. Work to gain support for process improvement and implementation

Qualifications

Qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with an additional, relevant post-graduate electromechanical or mechanical technical qualification.
  • 1+ years’ experience in project management.
  • Avid learner with bias for scientific method application.
  • Track record of innovative solutions development/implementation to solve problems and create value.
  • Strong project management skillset; process-driven mindset and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
